June Edgar passed away peacefully on November 13, 2017 at the Harrah Nursing Center in Harrah, Okla. Under the care of Valir Hospice of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
June was born on June 8, 1927, to George and Ruth Adsit in Terlton, Okla. June moved to the Oklahoma City and later to the Tulsa area after her marriage to David Hoover of Oilton, Ok. June spent most of her life in the Tulsa area until she moved to Harrah to be with her son who could help care for her.
June graduated from Cleveland High school when she was 16 and went on to take trade college courses in Medical Entries. She later gained employment at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, working for 17 years in the Medical Record department. June was a long-time member of Crowell Heights Baptist Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma where she taught Sunday school to the children and really loved what she did for the Church. June's biggest Love of life were her grandchildren, her mother, Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays.
June is preceded in death by her mother and father, George and Ruth Adsit, three brothers,
Jim, Jack, and Bob; one sister Wanda as well as her first husband David Hoover, late husband
John Edgar and one granddaughter Tammy Gray-Shroff.
Ruth leaves behind one daughter Linda Shouse of Tulsa; son Danny Hoover of Harrah; two
brothers Bill Adist of Mannford Oklahoma, Jerry Adsit of Oleta Kansas; four grandchildren,
seven step-grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Family will greet friends and family members from 2:00 till 4:00 PM on Thursday, Nov. 16th at
Chapman-Black Funeral Home 108 W Delaware in Cleveland Ok. Graveside services will be 1 pm Friday, November 17, 2017, at the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family at www.chapman-black.com.
June Edgar will be missed by all who knew her and loved her and may she rest in peace.
