Mitch Wayne Sizemore, Sr.

Mitch Wayne Sizemore, Sr. passed away on Thursday, August 2, 1012 at the age of 58 years, ten months and seventeen days. Mitch was born September 16, 1953, in Oilton, Oklahoma; he was the son of Jack and Rose Lee (Williams) Sizemore. Mitch was raised in Oilton where he began his education. He later moved with his family to the Cleveland area where he completed his education. Mitch attended college in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In July of 1975, Mitch and Tonnie met and they raised their three children Jami, Mitch, Jr. and Dusty. On April 2, 1982, Mitch and Tonnie were united in marriage. In 1992, Mitch began working as a pipeline inspector where he worked until December of 2009 when he retired due to health reasons. Mitch loved to be with his friends and especially his family and grandchildren. Mitch enjoyed buying and selling things. He also enjoyed collecting knives. His friends always considered him the ìMayor of Hallettî. Survivors are his three children Jami Lynn Sutterfield of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Mitch Sizemore, Jr. and his wife Karen of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Dusty Jack Sizemore of Cleveland, Oklahoma and son in law Chris Edwards of Cleveland, Oklahoma; six grandchildren Darian Edwards, Corbin Sizemore, Dylan Edwards, Ethan Sizemore, Hunter Sizemore, Cody Sizemore as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Rose Lee Sizemore, father Jack Sizemore; two brothers, Steve and Richard J. Sizemore as well as two sisters Barbara Jean West and Judy Ann Mize. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the Woodland Cemetery with Gene Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
