Mildred Marie Rue, formerly of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Christus Santa Rosa Hosptial in New Brunsfel, Texas at the age of eight-two. Mildred had been residing with her son, Steve and his family in Shertz, Texas for the past several years. Mildred was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma on December 23, 1931. She was the daughter of Clyde and Leona Bryant Cochran. Mildred was raised and attended school in Cleveland, graduating with the Cleveland High Schol Class of 1950. Upon completion of her educatoin, Mildred began a long career in the food service industry. She accepted her initial position as a waitress for KatieÃs CafÈ her in Cleveland. She later accepted a similar position at Judy AnnÃs and then later was employed at the Hickory House for several years. Mildred accepted a position in the early 1980Ãs working for Ball Oil Company, working for Harold Cox as a manager of a Red Ball Convienence Store and continued to work in that capacity for many years. Upon the closure of Ball Oil Company, Mildred was employed at Jack GriffithÃs new store in Cleveland and worked there until her retirement. Mildred was decsribed by her family as a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She adored her great-grandson, Steven and spent coutless hours with him. Mildred is survived by her son and his wife, Steve and Anita Rue of Schertz, Texas; two granddaughters, Amber Campbell of Glenpool, Oklahoma and Amy Rue of Schertz, Texas; a great-grandson, Steven Zietler of Schertz, Texas; three brothers and their wives, Wilburn and Wilma Cochran of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Ken and Judy Cochran of Mannford, Oklahoma, Don and Jeanie Cochran of Big Sandy, Texas, two sisters, Margaret and Bob Mylink of Skiatook, Oklahoma and Norma Gibbons of Skiatook, Oklahoma; and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Bevins of Cleveland, Oklahoma; numerous neices and nephews and friends who will mourn her passing. She was preceeded in death by her father, Clyde W. Cochran, her mother, Leona Callison, and a sister, Sherry Bevins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the Oakhill Full Gospel Church with Rev. Harrel Jones officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
