Michelle Lee Terrell better known to her friends and family as Shelli of Prue, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, February 25, 2008 at her home at the age twenty eight years. A memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 1, 2008 in the Sanctuary of the First Assembly of God in Prue with Pastor Mike Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Prue Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home of Cleveland. Friends and family may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.
Shelli was born September 11, 1979 in El Paso, Texas the daughter of John Finger and Carol Hendry. As a young girl Shelli grew up in the Los Lunas, New Mexico area. Shelli moved to Prue with her mother in 1995 and later graduated from Prue High School with the Class of 1997. She soon began working at Walnut Creek State Park in the maintenance department during the summers. Shelli was also employed at Sutherlands Lumber Company in Tulsa for nearly 8 years. She worked part time at Ken's Convenience Store in Prue. She worked for a short time at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Bartlesville as well as for Premier Community Services.
Shelli was united in marriage to Michael Eugene Terrell March 17, 2006 at the Mannford Friendship Community Church in Mannford, Oklahoma
Shelli had recently returned to school further her education at Tulsa Community College in hopes of gaining employment as a Federal Game Ranger.
Shelli enjoyed being with her family and friends. She loved animals and was partial to Dodge Trucks. Shelli had a charisma about her that was infectious to those around her ensuring that everyone enjoyed each day to the fullest.
Survivors are her husband, Michael Terrell of the home, two daughters, Alora Shalyn Hendry of the home and Autumn Renee Miller of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, mother, Carol A. Hendry of Prue, Oklahoma, step-daughter, Brittany Nicole Terrell of the home, Oklahoma; one brother, Christopher Perez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; uncle, Jim and Marianne Hendry of Albuquerque, New Mexico; great aunt, Jean Logan of Colorado as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Catherine Hendry, maternal grandfather Stewart B. Hendry, maternal great grandfather Claude Nelson and maternal great grandmother Edna Mae Nelson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kelsey Hunter, Billy Terrell, Mike Morgan, and Chris Perez.
