Michael Duane East, II was born December 30, 1994 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the don of Michael Duane and Terri (Roberson) East. He moved with his family to Terlton near his first birthday and was raised in the Terlton/Jennings area; attending school in Jennings through the eighth grade. While attending school in Jennings, Michael was an active member of the basketball team. Upon graduation from junior high, Michael attended high school in Prue and Skiatook and was attending Cleveland High School at the time of his death. Michael has been associated with and attended the Baptist Church since his early years. He was baptized at the Pershing Baptist Church and had been active in both the Prue Baptist Church and the Jennings Baptist Church. He attended Falls Creek summer camp with the Prue Baptist Church on two occasions. Michael was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing in local ponds and the Cimarron River. He could often be found camping and fishing with his family. His largest catch was a nearly twenty pound blue catfish. He could be found spending countless hours reading and he was a self-taught guitar players. He recently started to enjoy horse back riding. He was described by his family as a happy and outgoing son and brother who was caring, giving and had a kind heart. He was an all-round great young man. Michael passed from this life on Thursday, April 26, 2012 near Skiatook, Oklahoma at the age of seventeen. He is survived his father, Michael East of Terlton, Oklahoma; mother, Terri East of Skiatook, Oklahoma; brother, Joshua Lee East of Terlton, Oklahoma; two sisters, Tegan Lynn Fowler of Skiatook, Oklahoma and Lindsey Michael East of Terlton, Oklahoma; paternal grandmother, Rada Fabela of Terlton, Oklahoma; and maternal grandparents, Terry and Debbie Roberson of Skiatook, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Marcelino Fabela and an uncle, Justin Arley Clint Roberson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Pm Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Terlton Baptist Church with Casey Muse officiating. Burial will be at the Terlton Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
