Michael Alan Beals was born November 1, 1963 in Woodland, California; the son of Roy Beals and Betty (McKee) Willson. Michael was raised and attended school in Lincoln, California where he moved at an early age with his family. Upon completion of his education, Michael worked as a carpenter and for a landscaping business in the Sacramento, California area. During this time he met and established a close friendship with Valorie Marie Clements. The couple moved to Oklahoma in 1992 and have made their home in Hominy, Prue and Cleveland over the past twenty-years; moving to Cleveland in 2008. Michael and Valorie were married on April 4, 1998 at the Assembly of God Church in Prue, Oklahoma and had six children, Michael, Jessica, Cassandra, Sidney, Ashley and Roy. After moving to Oklahoma, Michael began his career working in the oilfields of Oklahoma. He initially accepted employment working on a pulling unit for Thomas Well Service in Mannford, Oklahoma. Subsequently, he has worked for numerous well servicing and drilling companies throughout the area. He was employed as a roughneck for Discovery Drilling in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the time of his death. Michael was described by his family as a wonderful father and grandfather who was loving, caring and worked hard to provide for his family. He was full of life and not only worked hard but played hard. He loved the time he spent fishing and camping with his children and grandchildren. They also enjoyed boon docking around in the mud in the truck at every available occasion. His strong work ethic and knowledge of the operation of oilfield equipment enabled Michael to work continually in his chosen profession; being in demand by various employers throughout the area. Michael also liked to go to the local casinos and play the slots; often walking away with his winnings at the prompting of his wife, Valorie. MichaelÃs philosophy of life could be seen in his work ethic and could be summarized as living every day like it was your last, never say things you donÃt mean because once spoken they canÃt be taken back, and love with your whole heart holding nothing back remembering that God has your back. Michael passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 while working on a drilling rig for Discovery Drilling near Crescent, Oklahoma after suffering a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Valorie Marie Clements of the home; three daughters, Jessica Clements of the home, Cassandra Clements of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Ashley Clements of the home; two sons, Sidney Clements and Roy Clements both of the home; four granchildren, Harley Clements, Caden Ridge, Carrisa Dilley and Deslynn Tillon; father, Roy Beals of California; mother, Betty Willson of Lincoln, California; brother, Steven Munoz of Oroville, California; and a sister, Cheryl Carnesecca of Cameron Park, California. He was just recently preceded in death by his son, Michael Steven Clements. Cemetery Chapel will be held 2:00 Pm Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Prue Cemetery with Rev. Garry McDevitt officiating.
