Artie Maxine Trimble was born September 7, 1921 in Carrollton, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Perry and Mella Smith. Maxine moved with her family at an early age to Sand Springs where her father operated a fruit orchard. Maxine attended school for several years in Sand Springs and then moved again with her family to Drumright where she graduated from high school in 1938.
Maxine was married to LeRoy Trimble on July 9, 1939. The couple made their initial home in Drumright and then moved frequently for the next few years before settling in Cleveland in 1945. The couple had two sons, Dale and Randy. LeRoy and Maxine operated a grocery store, donut shop, bakery and a Putt Putt Golf Course in Cleveland during their nearly sixty-three years of marriage.
