Mary Will Manley passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years, six months and five days.
Mary was born on September 6, 1921, in Claremore, Oklahoma. As a young girl Mary moved with her parents Victor Guy and Lois May (Scott) Kershner to the Keystone area. The family later moved to Ramona, Oklahoma where Mary later graduated high school. Mary was later united in marriage to George Grant Price in Sapulpa, Oklahoma in June 1944. Following their marriage the couple resided in several places before the moved to the Keystone area in the late 1950’s. They later built her current home in the early 1960’s. During this time Mary and Kathleen Thomison began their business TP Decorating. The two worked tirelessly wallpapering, painting and helped remodeling homes in the area. They worked side by side for many years.
Mary was later united in marriage to John Manley on July 23, 1988. The couple remained in the Keystone area where they established their home.
Mary enjoyed cake decorating, feeding the birds, butterflies and was formerly deputized with the Pawnee County Sheriff office. Mary was founder and member of the Keystone Friendship Club, active member of the Osage Hills Chapter Daughters of the Revolution and Charter Member of the Keystone General Baptist Church. Mary is described as ornery, feisty and a very good jokester.
Survivors are her three daughters Vicki Applegate of Depew, Oklahoma, Peggy Scott of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Mary Jo Price of Cleveland, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren Dess Stottlemyre, Timothy Stottlemyre, Jonathan Burling, Nicholas Burling, Nathaniel Krotzer, Melissa Applegate, Karla (Krotzer) Penny; seven great grandchildren Allison Stottlemyre, Austin Stottlemyre, Miron Krotzer, Aidan Stottlemyre, Rianna Stottlemyre, Jade Krotzer, Jasper Krotzer and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Lois Kershner, two husbands George Grant Price on June 30, 1980, John Manley on July 25, 1998 as well as one sister Jimmie Holeman in April of 1991.
Church Services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Keystone Baptist Church with Paul Applegate officiating. Burial will follow in the Sinnett Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
