Mary Margaret Wilcoxson passed from this life on October 3, 2021, at the age of 80, in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Mary was born on January 7, 1941, at Gotebo, Oklahoma; the daughter of Fort Snider and Clara Fay (Heasley) Snider. Mary initially grew up in Gotebo where she began her education later moving to Cleveland in the late 1950's. Mary later graduated from Cleveland High School with the Class of 1959. On September 4, 1959, Mary was united in marriage to Nolan Comer Wilcoxson. The couple established their home in Cleveland where they raised their two sons Douglas and Olan. Mary worked many years in the health care profession as a Certified Nurses Aide. She has worked at Cleveland Manor, Cleveland Area Hospital, Cleveland Home Health as well as a private nurse for many in the area.
Mary enjoyed working outside gardening and cooking. She always had a special place in her heart for animals. Watching Faulty Towers and Sienfield were always a given at her home. Mary also attended Cleveland Community Gospel Church.
Survivors are her two children Douglas Wilcoxson of Terlton, Oklahoma, Olan Wilcoxson of Cleveland, Oklahoma; one granddaughter Alyssa McAllister of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three great grandchildren Cole, Camdyn and Amelia McAllister all of Tulsa, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Fort and Clara Snider, husband Nolan Wilcoxson, two brothers Adrain Snider and Clinton Snider
Services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Pastor Pam Buzzard officiating. Burial will follow in the Dixie Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
