Mary Joyce Price

Mary Joyce Price was born November 7, 1939 in Terlton, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Mitchell and Mary Price. Joyce was raised and attended school in Terlton, graduating from Terlton High School in 1957.

Shortly after graduation from high school, Joyce moved to Santa Paula, California and then to Whittier where she has resided for over forty-years. She was employed for nearly thirty-five years as a customer service representative for Playtex Corporation.

Joyce enjoyed going on cruises and attending live theatre in the Los Angeles area. She was a fun loving person who enjoyed making people laugh and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at the Whittier Hospital Medical Center at the age of sixty-five years, seven months and nine days. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Gordon Price; and a sister, Elaine Baker.

Joyce is survived by a brother, Samuel L. Price of Bethany; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 25, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Terlton, Oklahoma with Rev. Louis Speck officiating. Burial will be at the Terlton Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
