Mary Francis Comer passed from this life on September 13, 2021, at the age of 73.
Mary was born on December 5, 1947, in Huntsville, Arkansas, she was the daughter of John and Eunice (Edens) Ogden. Mary attended elementary and middle school in Tulsa later moving to Mannford, Oklahoma where she completed high school graduating with the Class of 1966. On July 1, 1967, Mary was united in marriage to Danny Comer at Keystone General Baptist Church. In 1970, Mary and Danny moved to Mannford where they have continued to reside. Mary worked at Southwestern Bell as well as several different law offices in Tulsa as a paralegal. Her last position was with American Airlines in the payroll department for over 15 years when she retired in 2015.
Mary loved following her children and grandkids watching them participate in school and sporting events. Mary and Danny enjoyed traveling and seeing the country. Mary also liked having the family over during Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners. For several years Mary oversaw the yearly Edens Family Reunion.
Survivors are her husband Danny Comer of the home; one son Daniel Comer of Mannford, Oklahoma, sister Marilyn Odgen of Winnsboro, Texas; two grandchildren Demi Watkins of Prattville, Oklahoma, Damon Comer of Terlton, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents John and Eunice Ogden, son Darrin Lorrin Comer and one brother Jerry Ogden.
Services will be held privately in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Mannford, Oklahoma at a later date. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Mary at www.chapman-black.com.
