Mary Alice May, Drumright residence since 1994, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at her home, at the age of sixty-seven years and fourteen days.

Mary was born January 11, 1936 in Mountainair, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Oren Stuttz and Erma Olive Dressler. She moved frequently with her family as a youth and then established her home in Stillwater, Oklahoma where she attended school.

Mary was married to Marion Osborn on February 9, 1952 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Stillwater and raised four children: Bruce, Diane, John and Marlene. While residing in Stillwater, Mary attended college at Langston University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree. Additionally, Mary was employed as a Head Start Teacher in Stillwater for over nine years. She enjoyed playing softball, a sport which she enjoyed for nearly twenty-two years and received the Most Valuable Player Award on numerous occasions. Additionally, Mary loved to play volleyball. During her time in Stillwater, Mary was a member of the Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school. Marion preceded her in death on in 1984 after thirty-two years of marriage.

Mary was married to Robert Lee May on April 5, 1986 in Stillwater and after a short time made their home in Belton, Texas. While residing in Belton, Mary taught herself at the age of fifty to water ski and then shared in the enjoyment of teaching her grandchildren to ski. In addition to her enjoyment of softball and volleyball, Mary loved to travel, play cards and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed large family and church functions. Mary and Robert moved to Drumright in 1994. She has been a member of the Broadway Church of Christ since moving to Drumright.

Mary is survived by her husband, Robert Lee May of the home; three children, Marion Bruce Osborn of Drumright, Oklahoma, Myra Diane Witt of Drumright, Oklahoma and John Oren Osborn III of Belton, Texas; ten grandchildren, Bruce Adam Osborn of Tacoma, Washington, Brad Allen Osborn of Altus, Oklahoma, Terry Ray Osborn of Altus, Oklahoma, David Jeremy Witt of Drumright, Oklahoma, Kevin Michael Witt of Drumright, Oklahoma, Michael Joseph Jones of Sequine, Texas, Mathias Jerome Jones of Sequine, Texas, Sue Gauna of Belton, Texas, Suki Gonzales of Belton, Texas and John C. Osborn of Belton, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles O. Dressler Harrah, Oklahoma, Wayne Karl Dressler of Castle Rock, Colorado, Lewis Abraham Dressler of Jennings, Oklahoma; three sisters, Sylvia Olive Tull of Jennings, Oklahoma, Jean Ann Martin of Saddler, Texas and Bertha Mae Case of Perkins, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her first husband Marion, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Meredythe ìJoyceî Wyker and a daughter, Marlene Gail Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at the Broadway Church of Christ in Drumright, Oklahoma with Dub Mowery officiating. Burial will be at the Bethany Cemetery in Hallett, Oklahoma under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland.
