Marlin Daniel White, of Bristow, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at his home at the age of 66 years. Dan was born November 22, 1948, in Peoria, Illinois. He was the son Marlin Dane and Ruby (Snyder) White. As a young man Dan moved with his family to the Oologah area where he began his education. Following the completion of his education Dan joined the United States Navy. Following his discharge from the US Navy, Dan reenlisted with the United States Army. After nearly 13 years and two tours in Vietnam Dan was honorably discharged. At that time Dan reenlisted with the National Guard and later retired in 2002. During his time while Dan was in the National Guard he also worked for Fammco in Catoosa, Oklahoma as a welder. Dan worked at Fammco until he was forced to retire due to medical reason in 2005. Dan and Susan have made their home in Claremore, Mannford and in 2009, moved to Bristow. Dan loved to hunt, fish and mow his yard. He also enjoyed morocycles especially the Honda Goldwings. He also enjoyed watching westerns and staying at home. Survivors are his Susan of the home, one son Danny Joe White of Nowata, Oklahoma, one daughter Marty White, stepson Jeff Clayton of Edmond, Oklahoma; siblings Ed White of Missouri, Paul White of Tulsa, Oklahoma, LeeAnn Lawrence of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Glenda White of Collinsville, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, one step son Mark Clayton, one step daughter Terri Clayton. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com. Military honors were provided by the Fifth District Rifle Squad.
