Mark Timothy Orcutt, 70, passed from this life on April 8, 2019, in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Mark was born on January 13, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Theodore Wayne and Billie Joyce (Chesney) Orcutt. He was raised in Terlton with his thirteen brothers and sisters. He began his education in Terlton where he attended until the ninth grade. Mark then transferred to Cleveland Schools and then later attended Mannford High School and graduated with the Class of 1967. After graduation, Mark joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1968.
Mark returned to the Terlton area and was united in marriage to Darla Lord in November of 1969 at the Keystone General Baptist Church. Mark later moved to Kansas City Missouri working in the construction business. He then returned to the Cleveland Area and started Affordable Home Improvements. Mark worked with his family in and around the area. They installed and repaired siding, windows, or anything that was needed for home and commercial construction. In 1988, Mark resided in Oilton with his long time companion Sherry Doolin and for a short time in Norman near his daughter Angie.
Mark loved little kids, animals and his current Chihuahua Lucy more than anything. He was very particular about his appearance. Mark always wanted nice things and was a nurturer to others. He took on numerous problems for others while sometimes neglecting his own. Mark loved to sit down to eat especially a T-Bone, baked potato, and salad. Mark enjoyed going fishing and spending time with his family. His nieces, nephews, grandkids, and family meant the world to him.
Survivors are his daughter Angie Kennon and her husband Doug; stepson James Ratliff; four brothers, Ted Orcutt, Jr. and his wife Aletha, Joel Orcutt and his wife Sheila, Jeffery Orcutt and his wife Betty, Floyd ''Buck'' Orcutt; four sisters, Sherryl Powell, Molly Watson and her husband Donald, Sally Murphy and her husband Henry, Dodie Shade and her husband Loy; three grandchildren Brooke Low and her husband Cody, Ryan Davis and his wife Rachel and Ella Kennon; three great-grandchildren Brody and Brylee Low and Oliver Davis and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his stepdaughter Jama Ratliff, three brothers Darrell Orcutt, Daniel Orcutt, Robert "Bobby" Orcutt, two sisters Marilyn Grissom and Robin Orcutt
A gathering for family will be held at the Wayside Chapel in Terlton at 12:00 pm; Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 11, 2019, at the Terlton Cemetery with Rev.
