Marjorie was born on February 4, 1932, in Leroy, Oklahoma. Marjorie was the daughter of Everett Leo and Ardelia Ann (Cannaday) McLeister. Marjorie attended school in Leroy and at the age of 10 moved with her parents to Sand Springs. Marjorie completed her education and graduated from Sand Springs High School. Following high school, Marjorie was united in marriage to Donald Edward Sharp on July 8, 1951, at the First Assembly of God Church in Sand Springs. Marjorie had a library card from Sand Springs for many years and during that time has read more than 4000 books. Marjorie also had a knack for writing poetry. Going to Branson and Eureka Springs going shopping was always an enjoyable time. Marjorie would always take side jobs as her children were growing up to make sure they had a vacation. The trips would always be to Six Flags in Arlington, Texas and staying at the same motel for eleven years straight. Marjorie was a faithful member of the Assemblies of God Church for many years.
