Marie Lorene Bickham

Marie Lorene Bickham passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at her home in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years, ten months and five days. Marie was born December 22, 1954, in Hominy, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Cecil Loyd and Mary Elizabeth (Pitsor) Morgan. As a young girl Marie began her education in Cleveland. In 1961, she moved with her family to Tulsa, Oklahoma and in for a short time in Corpus Christi, Texas. In 1964, Marie returned to the Mannford area and in 1969, began residing with her brother Willis. In 1974, Marie graduated from Cleveland High School. Following graduation Marie was united in marriage to the love of her life Donald Paul Bickham. Following their marriage Marie and Don established their home in Cleveland and in 1982 moved to Claremore. They have also lived in Artesia, New Mexico, Mannford and later in 1991, moved to Terlton. Marie has been living at her current home since 1992. Marie has worked for the Cleveland Schools part time for many years and became full time in 2009. Marie was forced into retirement due to her health in 2010. Marie was a very loving and tender hearted person. She always seemed to find the good in people as well as not quick to judge. She love to play board games as well as to work jig saw puzzles. Marie is famous in the area for her scrumptious pumping rolls and other deserts. During the holidays Marie and Don would sing and play the piano at local events and church functions. Survivors are her two children Joshua Bickham of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Jessica Bickham of Cleveland, Oklahoma; four brothers Willis Morgan and his wife Oleta of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Cecil Harold Morgan of Yale, Oklahoma, Ray Morgan and his wife Carolyn of Anehiem, California, Ricky Morgan of Weatherford, Oklahoma; eight sisters Bonnie Vandever and husband Harry of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Betty Lou Tindale and husband Gary of Yale, Oklahoma, Gennetta Lea Morgan of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Myra Juanita Baker and husband Virgil of Stroud, Oklahoma, Debra Dianne Bevins and her husband Dusty of Elk City, Oklahoma, Anna Sue Schaefer and her husband Patrick of Omaha, Nebraska, Irlene Ingleman and her husband Bob of Thorn Bay, Alaska, Merlene Porter and her husband Mark of Arkansas and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. In addition to her parents Marie was preceded in death by her husband Donald Paul Bickham and a son Phillip Bickham. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Wayside Chapel in Terlton, Oklahoma with Pastor Willis Morgan officiating. The body was cremated under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
