Margurite MarySue Maynard

 Margurite MarySue Maynard, known to her friends and family as Pat passed from this life on October 20, 2023, at the age of 73, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

Pat was born on November 21, 1949, in Belleville, Illinois, the daughter of J C and Mary Benge.  She grew up in the Stratford, Oklahoma, area where she attended school.  She later moved to Tulsa in the mid-1960's.  In 1969, Pat was united in marriage to Jimmy Dale Maynard in Tulsa.  The couple established their initial home and later moved to Mannford in 1979.  Pat was a security guard at the Tulsa State Fair for over 20 years.  
Pat always enjoyed doing arts and crafts, bird watching, and working in her garden.  She also liked woodworking, singing, going camping, and fishing.  Pat is well known for her lemon cake and banana bread.  Going to Sulphur, Oklahoma, and Chickasha National Park were always memorable times.  

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy, of the home; four children Linda Thurman of Nebraska, Martin Maynard and his wife Candi of Mannford, Oklahoma; Kim Powell of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Dianna Macaruso and husband Brian Hines of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers Mark Benge of Stratford, Oklahoma, Matt Benge of Stratford, Oklahoma; twenty-one grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.  In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Rogers, and a granddaughter, Bailey DeLonais Maynard. 

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the Freedom Hill Baptist Church in Mannford, Oklahoma, with Pastor Roger Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Mannford, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
