Margaret Rae Massey passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013, in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years and eight days. Margaret was born April 7, 1938 in Joplin, Missouri. She was the daughter of Raymond Francis and Mabel Grace (Artinger) Pabitzky. As a young girl Margaret was raised in Tulsa and attended the Springdale Elementary and later graduated from Central High School. Following graduation Margaret was united in marriage to Vick Ray Massey on May 3, 1958. The couple established their initial home in Tulsa until 1969, at that time they moved to Skiatook, Oklahoma where they raised their five children. Margaret later moved to Stroud and then to Claremore where she remained until 1992. In 1992, Margaret moved to her current home in Tulsa. In 1988, Margaret began working at SnowÃs Furniture. She worked as a secretary at the furniture store until her retirement in 2008. Margaret was very family oriented. She enjoyed working in her garden as well as sewing and going fishing. Margaret also made numerous quilts for her family. Vacations with her family as her children were growing up were usually at the Illinois River for two weeks, they would also go to Birch Lake, Grand Lake and Keystone Lake for outings. Most of all Margaret loved being around her family that she loved. Margaret attended Sheridan Christian Center in Tulsa. Survivors are her one son Raymond Massey and his wife Cindy of Owasso, Oklahoma, four daughters Vicki Thompson and her husband Bob of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Deborah Newman and her husband Bert of Coppell, Texas, Linda McCoy and her husband Sidney of Jones, Oklahoma, Patricia Murphy and her husband Robert of Inola, Oklahoma; one brother Tommy Pabitzky and his wife Janice of Skiatook, Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren Jeremy, Josh, Andrea, Brian, Angie, Christi, James, Meagan, Dylana, Seth, Lindsey, Brad, Timothy, Robert Jr., Victoria, Ricky, Samantha, Thomas, Norine; eighteen great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her father Raymond Pabitzky and mother Mabel Pabitzky. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Stage Center in Cleveland with her son in law Pastor Bob Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
