Catholic Mass services for Lucille Belle Robedeaux, ìHl U Ah To Meî will be held Monday, November 7, 2005 at 10:00 am in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hominy, Oklahoma with Father Bruce Brosnahan officiating. Burial will be at the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc. of Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Lucille was born June 10, 1915 in Wynona, Oklahoma to Walter Jones and Maggy Helen (Pratt) Matin of the Eagle Clan. The family moved to Hominy when she was an infant. Lucille grew up and attended school in Hominy. At the age of 16 Lucille was one of the last to have a traditional Indian marriage.

In the late 1950ís Lucille began working at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa as a nurseís aide. After over 20 years of working at the hospital she retired in the late 1970ís. Lucille was united in marriage to Lee Robedeaux on November 4, 1946. After their marriage Lucille and Lee continued to reside in Hominy.

Lucille was one of the most respected ladyís of the community. People would come to her for insight on how to carry on the Indian Traditions. She was also active in the Alter Society of the St. Josephís Catholic Church as well as the Mound Valley Homemakers. Lucille loved to spend her time traveling with her family and friends. Throughout her life she has traveled to Europe, Hawaii, and Mexico as well as all over the United States. Lucille in addition loved going to the bull fights and going to the horse races in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Lucille was an Elder of the Osage Tribe and advisor of the Tribal Dance Committee. Lucille could always be counted on to help anybody at anytime no matter what the occasion.

Lucille passed away Thursday November 3, 2005 at her home in Hominy, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years 4 months and 23 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lee, one son Walter Charles Whitehorn, one sister Marguerite Waller, aninfant grandson as well as one great grandson.

Survived by her loving daughter Olita Whitehorn Mitts of Hominy, Oklahoma; one sister Lenora Fields of Ralston, Oklahoma; four grandchildren Wilson Mitts of Hominy, Oklahoma; Stephen Mitts of Hominy, Oklahoma; Tina Cox of Hominy, Oklahoma; April Mitts of Hominy, Oklahoma; seven great grandchildren Krystal Bashaw of Hominy, Oklahoma; Shannon Crawford of Hominy, Oklahoma; Lindsey Mitts of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Kinsey Mitts of Hominy, Oklahoma; Jamie Jones of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Justin Cox of Hominy, Oklahoma; Seth Cale of Hominy, Oklahoma; four great great grandchildren as well as numerous relatives and friends.
