Funeral services for Louella Mae Pry will be held 2:00 PM Monday at Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Wessel officiating. Private burial will be in the IOOF Maramec Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.

Lou was born March 3, 1936, in Hallett, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Kenneth Claude and Geneva Angeline (Pendegraft) Beaver. As a young girl, Lou was raised in the Hallett area where she began her education. During her time in school, Lou enjoyed studying English and history. Following the closure of the Hallett school, Lou began attending Maramec School where she graduated top of her class with honors as salutatorian. On September 5, 1954, in Hallett, Oklahoma, Lou was united in marriage to Ralph Pry. The couple established their home in Hallett and continued raising their family in the Cleveland area.

Lou enjoyed her family very much. Always looking forward to the time they could spend together being a family. She enjoyed cooking, canning, taking care of her family, reading the Bible, shopping, sewing clothes and her dog Foxy. One of Lou’s favorite places she had visited was the Grand Canyon. Lou was a longtime member of the Hallett Baptist Church.

Lou passed from this life on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at her home at the age of 80 years, f Jennings, Oklahoma, age 80 years, eight months and six days old.

Survivors are her four children Debbie Cox and her husband Denny of Jennings, Oklahoma, Mike Pry of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Tim Pry and his wife Paula of Topeka, Kansas, Tami Jones and her husband Tom of Jennings, Oklahoma; four siblings Charles Beaver and his wife Cynthia of Cushing, Oklahoma, Betty Simmons and her husband Bob of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Ruby Travis and her husband RB of Maramec, Oklahoma, Pat White and her husband Bob of Hallett, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren Penny Hamrick, Aaron Alfaro, Nikki Marshall, Kris Cox, Michael John Pry, Amber Carpenter, Bryttney Alexander, Brandon Wilson, Emily Wilson, Krystal Pennington, Dustin Pennington, Mark Pennington, Bodhi Pry, Misty Pry; numerous great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. Lou was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph Pry, daughter in law Sue Pry, sister Gerry Cox, two grandchildren Matthew and Michael Pry, one great grandson Wyatt Cox and her biological mother Opal Marie (Shipman) Beaver.

Pallbearers will include Bohdi Pry, Tom Jones, Mike Pry, Kyle Bruce, Aaron Alfaro and John Marshall.
