Lottie Tomlin, long time resident of Cleveland was born November 4, 1908 in Maramec, Oklahoma to James and Lutie (Marshall) Hedges. Lottie was raised and received her education in the Maramec area where her family made homestead during the Oklahoma Land Run. Lottie moved to Colorado to stay with her brother and that is where she met Francis W. Tomlin later on December 25, 1934 in Tinidad, Colorado they were united in marriage. In the late 1930Ãs Lottie and Francis moved back to Oklahoma and made their home in Maramec. In September of 1946 Francis was killed in a plane accident in Waxahachie, Texas while attending the Assembly of God Bible College. Lottie then moved back with her parents to help take care of the farm. In 1973 Lottie moved to Cleveland where she has resided since.
Lottie accepted Jesus as her Lord and savior as a young girl and was a life long member of the Assemblies of God Church. Lottie loved to study her Bible, listening to Gospel music and was very devoted to her Lord and family.
Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and four sisters. She passed away April 14, 2002 at Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years 5 months and 10 days.
Survived by her Daughter and Son in Law, Charleen and Don Smith, Cleveland, Oklahoma; Special Niece, Carolyn Powers, Cleveland, Oklahoma; Special Extended Family, Robert and Betty Wise, Maramec, Oklahoma; Peggy & OB Bagg, Newkirk, Oklahoma; Billie & Ernest Snipe, Nash, Oklahoma; David & Diana Wise, Kaw City, Oklahoma; numerous Nieces & Nephews,
Services will be held April 17, 2002 at 2:00 pm in the Western Heights Baptist Church officiated by Rev. David Head and Rev. Dan Edens and music was performed by Antonya Pearson. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
