Lorine Onalee Ramsey

Lorine Onalee Ramsey, lifelong Cleveland area resident, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the age of ninety seven years, four months and one day.

Lorine was born July 16, 1918, in Century, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of
Earl and Nora May (Lee) Macom. Lorine moved with her family as a young child to Hominy where she began her education. She attended school in Hominy and was later united in marriage on December 26, 1936, in Cleveland, Oklahoma to Lee Roy Ramsey. Following their marriage the couple resided in several different locations due to Lee Roy working in the oil field. In 1940, Lorine and Lee Roy returned to Cleveland where she has resided. In 1950, Lorine began working at Munsingwear in Hominy, Oklahoma. She worked as a seamstress for over 23 years when she retired in 1973.

Lorine loved to fish, camp, goto ballgames,crochet, sew and cook. Lorine always felt that everyone should live one day at a time and show your love to one another. She was also very proud of her daughter and grandchildren who she loved dearly. Some of Lorine behaviors was that she was always willing to fight for what was right as well as a little on the stubborn side. Lorine was very passionate about her faith in God and she loved the First Baptist Church.

Survivors are her daughter Barbara Carr of Cleveland, Oklahoma; seven granddaughters; thirteen great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren and numerous other relatvies and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lee Roy Ramsey, daughter Onalee Ramsey, six sisters Alma McCollough, Eva Valingtonham, Retha Cross, Delma Reed, Zelma Towell and Vivian Craven.

Services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Gregory Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Moore, Tim Erfurdt, Cory Erfurdt, Tony Young, Nathan Jackson, Kyle Miller, Joel Miller, Blake Moore and Chad Moore.
