Lois Kesner of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the age of 93 years. Lois was born February 21, 1917 in Fairfax, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of daughter of George and Lizzy (Finney) Sawyers. Lois was raised and received her education in Fairfax, Oklahoma as well as Missouri. On June 27, 1940 in Fairfax, Oklahoma, Lois was united in marriage to Richard W. Kesner. Following the couples marriage they made their home in Fairfax, Pawhuska and Hominy before moving to Cleveland in 1948. The couple purchased the local Chevrolet dealership and renamed the facility to Moss Kesner Chevrolet. They owned and operated the business for many years before selling the operation in 1960. Lois could often be found working and helping her husband Richard at the dealership. In 1960, Lois and Richard then moved to Wichita, Kansas where they lived until 1975, when they returned to Cleveland. Mrs. Kesner was a very skilled seamstress and quiltmaker. She made a special quilt for each and everyone of her family members just for them to have and cherish. Lois also enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing during her younger days. HolidayÃs were very special to her as well. She enjoyed the opportunity to cook for her family as well as spending individual time with each and everyone in the family. Lois is described by her family as loving and always doing things to the extreme and will be ìdearly missed by allî. Survivors are her daughter Karan Hutchinson and her husband M.F. of Cleveland, Oklahoma; three grandchildren Julie Humble and her husband James of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Sherry Johnson and her husband Bill of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Keith Hutchinson his wife Regina of Hominy, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren Heather, April, Jamie, Karlie, Deanna, Rachel; seven great great grandchildren Collin, Aislee, Layla, Findley, Zoey, Braden, Jaren, Cody as well as many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents Lois was preceded in death by her husband Richard, nine siblings Gladys, Bud, Dee, Ray, Georgia, Alice, Alvin and one great grandson Keine. Private graveside services will be held 10:00 am Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Woodland Cemetery with Keith Hutchinson and Heather Udall speaking. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.
