Linda Jean Bridge, Cleveland resident since 1969, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2003 at the Tulsa Regional Medical Center at the age of sixty years, two months and two days. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Clyde and Bobby Smith.
Linda was born on August 14, 1943 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Robert and Bessie Smith. She was raised initially in Hominy and then later moved with her family to Drumright where she attended school. Later the family moved to Avant where she also attended school.
She was married to Calvin Bridge on March 4, 1965 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The couple have made their home in Cleveland since 1969. Linda worked as a waitress and cook at Katie's CafÈ in Cleveland for several years. Additionally she worked at the Cleveland Manor Nursing Home and then was employed as a caregiver for seniors for a while in the Cleveland area.
Linda attended the Church of the Nazarene in Cleveland and was extremely gifted in arts and crafts. She enjoyed crocheting but her favorite pastime was spending time with her children, grandchildren and other family members.

Survived by her husband, Calvin Bridge, of the home; four daughters, Rita Monforte and Jack Wheeler, Perry, Oklahoma, Irene Underwood, Skiatook, Oklahoma Charlotte and David Hager, Parsons, Kansas and Terri Bridge, Cleveland, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two sisters, Deloris and Jerry Gerstle, Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Sharon and Skeet Rasberry of Barnsdall, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at the Church of the Nazarene in Cleveland with Rev. Ted Herold, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at the Dixie-Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
