Funeral services for Linda Gayle House will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Pastor David Head officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
Linda was born November 24, 1942, in Aledo, Illinois. She was the daughter of Milton and Etta Loretta (Dake) Tucker. As a young girl, Linda moved with her parents to Lubbock, Texas where she started her education. The family later moved to Clovis, New Mexico. Shortly after graduating from high school Linda moved to Central Valley in California. Linda worked in Fresno at a local accounting firm; during that time she met Melvin Douglas House, Sr. On November 12, 1965, Linda and Mel were united in marriage. The two remained in California until 1981. At that time the couple moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma. Linda worked at McKee and Bowker in the accounting department until she retired in 2005. In 2007, Linda and Mel moved to Sand Springs where she has continued to reside.
Linda enjoyed traveling. Some of her and Mel’s favorite places to go were to Tunica as well as Branson. During her travels, she would always be on the lookout to find that Elvis Presley treasure to bring back to her collection. Linda constantly enjoyed the times with family and treasured them dearly.
Linda passed from this life on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at the age of 75 years.
Survivors are one daughter Tami Elaine Burman and her husband Michael of Tehachapi, California; one brother Duane Tucker of Texas; seven grandchildren Brandon Burman, Janet Burman-Baggett, Hope Decker, Doug Reta, Ryan Reta, Nick Reta, Josh Reta; eleven great grandchildren Reagan, Jill, Landon, Madelyn, Penelope, Victoria, Corine, Tori, Camden, Sarah, Ashley and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents; Linda was preceded in death by her husband Mel, sister Nadine Jones, daughter Darla Reta in 2017.
