Linda Dianne Ledbetter

Linda Dianne Ledbetter was born January 10, 1956 in Stillwater, Oklahoma; the daughter of Richard Forrest and Wilma (Maxwell) Ledbetter. Linda was raised and attended school in Stillwater, graduating from C. E. Donart High School, later known as Stillwater High School in 1975. After graduating from high school, Linda remained in the Stillwater area for a couple of years before moving to Arlington, Texas in 1977 when her father, Richard accepted a position with the City of Arlington. While residing in Arlington, Linda began a career working as a housekeeper, sterilization clerk and in central supply at the Arlington Memorial Hospital. Her giving and caring personality lead her to enjoy working with senior citizens and providing excellent care for them. In 2001, Linda relocated to Cleveland, Oklahoma to be near her father and step-mother who had moved here in 1995. Linda accepted Christ as her Personal Savior while residing in Stillwater and was extremely active in her church in Fort Worth, Skylark Baptist Church. After moving to Cleveland, Linda began a faithful membership with the Western Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with the children and was always available in any capacity the church needed. She assisted with the food pantry from its inception. Linda was described by her family and friends as a giving, caring and extremely honest person that had a rather independent side but was always available to help those around her. She loved gospel music and also enjoyed country western music. She spent many hours watching classical movies and shows including old westerns and sitcoms like I Love Lucy. Often she would be found knitting, a hobby she has enjoyed for many years; otherwise you would find her working word puzzles. Her favorite pastime, however, was working in her church and with her church family. While residing in Cleveland, Linda continued her work in assisting elderly in their care; working for Baptist Home Health and other health care providers in the area. She also worked sometime at a Sapulpa Nursing Home as a housekeeper. Linda flew up to heaven on the wings of angels by the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the age of fifty-six, into the loving arms of her heavenly savior, Jesus Christ. She leaves behind a loving family including a brother and his wife, Forrest and Rachel Ledbetter of Cleveland, Oklahoma; four sisters, RaDonna Kuekelhan of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Pam and her husband, Mark Williams of West, Texas, Cathy and her husband, Frank O'Mara of Elk City, Kansas, Sandy and her husband, Mario Jio of San Angelo, Texas; five nieces, Crystal Naverette, Caitlin Ledbetter, Rhonda Smith, Mandy Ledbetter and Lisa Ledbetter; four nephews, Chris Ledbetter, Nathan Spires, Aaron Ledbetter and Cody Ledbetter; numerous other family and friends that mourn her . passing. She was preceded in death by father, Richard Forrest Ledbetter; mother, Wilma Lee Ledbetter; step-mother, Virginia Ledbetter; and a brother, Richard Lee Ledbetter.
