Linda Kay Brewster, 72, passed from this life on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at her home in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Linda was born on February 27, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Bobby Earl and Virginia Marie (Stoops) Crowson. Linda attended elementary school in Bristow before moving with her family to Drumright. During her Junior year in high school Linda moved again with her family to Blackwell, Oklahoma where she graduated high school. She furthered her education at Northern Oklahoma College before being diagnosed with a lifelong debilitating illness. Through many any years of rehabilitation Linda once again regained a somewhat healthy life. She returned to college and attended East Central College in Ada, Oklahoma graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. While living in Ada, Linda met the love of her life Gary Brewster. The two were united in marriage on December 20, 1970 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They initially resided in Deer Creek until 1977, Linda was working for Goodwill developing job criteria for the Handicap, before moving to Okmulgee. The couple later returned to the Oklahoma City area residing in Norman, Oklahoma. She then accepted employment with Moore-Norman Vo-Tech for several years. Linda wrote a (RFP) request for a proposal resulting in a grant for the Displaced Homemakers program she was honored as the first coordinator and ran the program which was implemented first at Central Area Vo-Tech in Drumright and then the Sapulpa Campus, she also worked at the Sapulpa Central Vo-Tech a sister campus of Drumright. She was the Homemaker Coordinator for displaced workers and also helped with financial aide for students enrolled. After her retirement Linda and Gary made their home in Hallett before making their home in Cleveland.

Linda loved to read. She and Gary enjoyed when they were younger to go camping later purchasing a motorhome. She was very meticulous with her work and everything she did in life. Linda and her best friend Peggie attended a floral design school at the vo-tech and enjoyed working with flowers. Linda fought her whole life following her illness which made her even more determined in life when she did things.

Survivors are a daughter Amy Kathleen Damron and her husband Michael Crouch of Cleveland, Oklahoma; one brother Dan Crowson in Raleigh, North Carolina, sister in law Brenna Crowson of Raleigh, North Carolina, niece Chelsea Ann Berthet of Reston, Virginia, her best friends Peggie and Bill Long of Sand Springs, Oklahoma as well a many other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by her husband Gary Brewster, one brother Steven Crowson and a nephew Chris Crowson.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Terry Snelling officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested payments to TributePay at www.chapman-black.com. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.
