Linda Ann Anglin passed from this life on February 25, 2022, at the age of 72.
Linda was born on September 25, 1949, in Yale, Oklahoma daughter of J.T. and Loella Ann (Coonrad) Ballenger. Linda attended school in Jennings, Oklahoma later graduating from Quay with the Class of 1967. Linda attended Oklahoma State University working during the summer at Munsingwear to help with her tuition.
Linda was a hard worker. She raised her two daughters while working at the Jennings Café early mornings making pies and bread. She also worked on the pipeline with her dad all while attending the Cleveland Beauty School where she obtained her cosmetology degree. Linda designed and helped build Linda’s Beauty Shop in Jennings. Even though money was tight, she always found a way to take her daughters to Branson. She loved Silver Dollar City, Shepherd of the Hills. and shopping!
Linda met Jimmie Anglin while she was playing in a pool league in Cleveland. They were united in marriage on May 14, 1982, at Grace Gospel Church in Jennings. Linda and Jimmie constructed their current home where they have continued to reside. Linda and Jimmie loved lake life and often camped with their kids at Washington Irving in the summers. They also enjoyed fishing on lake Keystone together and trips to Las Vegas. Linda returned to Oklahoma State University and carried a 4.0 while operating her beauty shop and caring for her family. She later instructed at Drumright Vo-Tech as a Master Instructor in Cosmetology. She attended state competitions and helped prepare students for Cosmetology examinations.
Being on the houseboat and the lake were some of her favorite times. Sunday morning breakfast and her grand and great grandkids were what she looked forward to.
Survivors are her husband of nearly 40 years Jimmie of the home, two daughters Telisha Nelson and her husband Erik of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tara McFarland and her husband Kelly of Cleveland, Oklahoma, two step sons Rusty Anglin of Bixby, Oklahoma, Michael Anglin of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; three siblings John Ballenger of Carmichael, California, Sharon Page of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Susan Hanlon of Jennings, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren Joshua, Chelsey, R.J., Kyley, Jacob, Emily, Anna, Addison; seven great grandchildren Grant, Mason, Grayson, Cambree, Raylain, Adaline, Gunner and a host of other relatives and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents J.T. and Loella Ballenger; great grandmother Coeta Robinson; brother Kevin Ballenger.
