Lillian Ina (Wallace) Brown was born December 13, 1946 in Fresno, California. Lillian was a severe asthmatic child and moved with her family to Arizona and then on to Oklahoma at an early age to help with her medical condition. After moving to Oklahoma, Lillian attended school in Beggs, graduating from Beggs High School in 1967. Shortly after graduation, Lillian was united in marriage to Danny Raymond Brown, Sr. on August 4, 1967 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. The couple made their first home in Sapulpa where Lillian initially accepted employment with Wal-Mart. They later moved to Prue, Oklahoma in 1978 when Danny was transferred with the John Zink Company to Skiatook. While residing in Old Prue, Lillian continued her career with Wal-Mart accepted a position with the Cleveland Wal-Mart when it opened in the late 1970Ãs, working as a cashier and later a supervisory position. The couple had three children, Danny, Rodney and Denae. After residing in Cleveland for a short while, the couple moved to Osage where they continued to reside until the death of Danny on March 15, 2007. Lillian worked for the Bartlett-Collins Glass Company in Sapulpa for a few years in the stock room for a few years before returning to the Sand Springs Wal-Mart in 1993, where she worked as the Men and Boys Wear Department Manager for nearly sixteen years. In 2009, Lillian accepted a position as a medical records clerk at the Cleveland Area Hospital where she was working at the time of her death. After the death of her husband, Lillian established a friendship with Corkey Leake and the couple was to married shortly after Thanksgiving. She passed away suddenly on Friday, December 2, 2011 following a rountine medical procedure. She passed away at the Oklahoma State University Medicl Center in Tulsa at the age of sixty-four. Lillian enjoyed fishing, gardening and collecting butterflies. Prior to the the death of her husband Danny, the couple could often be found fishing together in the afternoons near Osage. She truly loved taking care of her flower beds and maintiaining them to the fullest of their beauty. She also enjoyed spending time and playing with her grandchildren. After establishing her relationship with Corky, Lillian started dancing on a regular basis and just recently took up Karioke. She was described by her family as an amazing and caring mother, grandmother and friend that was loving and considerate to everyone. Her smile was infectious and she could light up a room with her cheerfulness. Lillian was a member of the First Christian Church in Cleveland which she attended regularly with her fianceeÃ, Corky Leake. In addition to Corky, she is suvived by two sons, Danny R. Brown, Jr. of Olive,Oklahoma and Rodney and his wife, Daphne Brown of Olive, Oklahoma; a daughter and her husband, Denae and Donnie Swearingen of Osage, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Dulton ann D Swearingen, Mahala and Dannielle Brown, Noah Brown and Raymond Brown; and four brothers, Charles Raymond Wallace, Jr. of Arkansas, Raymond Wallace of Oklahoma, Dale Wallace of Oklahoma, and Larry Wallace of Oklahoma. In addition to her husband, Danny Ray Brown, Sr., Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Raymond and Ina Wallace. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the First Christian Church with David Logsdon officiating. Burial will be at the Osage Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
