Lawrence Alan' Anderson better known to his friends and family as Andy passed from this life on Sunday morning May 22, 2011 at the Jack C. Montgomery Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years five months and four days. Andy was born on December 18, 1944 in Mobridge, South Dakota.'  He was the son of George Harvey and Elna Rocelia (Kightlinger) Anderson.'  As a young child Andy was raised and received his education in Glenham where he later graduated high school with the Class of 1962.'  Shortly after graduation Andy joined the United States Air Force June 12, 1962. After completing four years of honorable service to his country Andy was discharged on' June 11, 1968, he returned to Wichita, Kansas.'  Andy enrolled at a local aircraft maintenance school and soon moved and accepted employment with American Airlines in Tulsa, Oklahoma.'  Andy made his home in Skiatook and later met Messana Vee Langley.'  The couple was united in marriage on April 19, 1969 in Seminole, Oklahoma.'  The made their initial home in Skiatook and in 1977 moved to Avant, Oklahoma.'  Andy accepted a position with Shepherdís Fold Ranch Christian Camp as the business manager as well as any other position that was needed.'  Andy and Messana worked vigorously for many years at Shepherdís Ranch and in 1990, decided to moved to Ft. Laramie, Wyoming and open their own facility Sky ëní Canyon Ranch.'  Following several hard years of work the couple moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma in 1992.'  Andy began working at the Der Zuckerbacker Coffee Shop.'  Andy then reinstated his real estate license and began working for Charles Hagberg Real Estate as a realtor.'  Andy worked as a broker for the company until he purchased it in 1996.'  Andy has continued to operate the company until its closure early this year.'  Andy was a sports fanatic.'  He loved going to watch sporting events, especially ones in which his grandchildren participated.'  Andy was also a collector of pheasants. '  He had a extensive collection of real birds down to small trinkets.'  Andy enjoyed returning to South Dakota where he grew up.'  He loved showing his family where he was raised and stopping at various places through out the trip.'  Andy took great pleasure entertaining Alana and Jennifer on bingo outings; however most of all in life he cherished the times spent with his family and friends. '  Survivors are his wife Messana Anderson of the home, children Alana Anderson of Edmond, Oklahoma, Jennifer Keppner and her husband Eric of Cleveland, Oklahoma, siblings Marilyn Salwei of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Gordon Anderson of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, Phyllis Norgard of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Vivian Keller of Rapid City, South Dakota, Judy Mindt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, seven granchildren Andi, Kassidy, Gwyn, Jake, Elise, Cecilia, Annika, one great granddaughter Erin, adopted children' Col. Tommy Brown, MD of Seattle, Washington, Travis Sewell of Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as a host of other relatives and friends.'  He was preceded in death by father Harvey George Anderson, mother Elna Rocelia Anderson (Kightlinger), one brother Harvey Anderson. Memorial Service will be held'  2:00 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Hundley officiating.'  Visitation will be from 12:00 pm till 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Chapman-Black Funeral Home.'  Burial will be held privately in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
