Kristy Kay Kidd-Barnhart

Kristy Kay (Stevenson) Kidd-Barnhart, 48, of Cushing, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at her home in Cushing.

Kristy was born July 29, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas to Boyd Manville ìSteveî and Doris
(Youtsey) Stevenson. Kristy was a 1976, graduate of Mannford High School. She continued her education at Tulsa Community College earning a certificate in accounting. Kristy was employed as an accountant and business manager at several Tulsa companies. In recent years she and her late husband Steve Barney Barnhart established Kidd@Hart Kennels where they bred and sold Bloodhounds. Their dogs have been utilized in search and rescue, cadaver, law-enforcement, show dogs and most importantly as family pets. Kristy lived in the Tulsa and the surrounding area for the majority of her life, recently moving to Cushing.

Kristy enjoyed life to the fullest. She especially loved, spending time with friends and family, her pets, watching NASCAR, shooting pool, and driving her convertible Mustang. She was also a connoisseur of Harley-Davidson motorcycles; this included a win at the 1992, Tulsa Abate Show in the women's bike show category.

She is survived by her parents, Boyd and Doris Stevenson of Eucha, Oklahoma; four brothers, Mike Avers of Cushing, Oklahoma; Sonny Stevenson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Bobby Stevenson of Bixby, Oklahoma; Jerry Stevenson of Cleveland, Oklahoma; five sisters, Angela Avers of Tulsa, Oklahoma; La Donna Cullinan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Stephanie Baker of Cushing, Oklahoma; Snooks Baker of Talala, Oklahoma; Donna Mae Rupe of Pryor, Oklahoma; as well as their spouses, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kristy was preceded in death by her husband Steve (Barney) Barnhart, a son, Derrick Lee Kidd and a brother Jimmy Stevenson.

Kristy will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 23, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Terlton Cemetery officiated by Pastor Ralph Hickman. Burial will be at Terlton Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
