Kenneth McCabe, 94, passed from this life February 4, 2020. He was born at home in Osage, Oklahoma on August 16, 1925 to William Thomas and Pearl Pierce McCabe, as the youngest son of four boys and two girls. Kenneth leaves a legacy of strong family life, civic involvement and spiritual growth. He and his wife of almost 62 years, Mary Katherine Adams McCabe, reared five children. They enjoyed trips, games at home, school programs and big family reunions. Kenneth started his young adult life in welding, using his skills to build the Osage water tower for the community. He moved on to the oil & gas industry where he became the manager for Graver Oil &Gas Equipment Co. in Lindsay, OK, at the age of 29. He later bought out the company changing the name to McCabe Oil and Gas Equipment Company. Along with the Garrett family, they started Great Western Equipment Company and Kenneth was president until shortly before his death. He became a part of city government by becoming a Lindsay City Councilman for five years, he was the Lindsay City Mayor in 1969/70 and later the city manager. During his time in office the city airport was begun and he developed a training program for city officials in the state. He and Katherine were in their 50’s when they felt the call to ministry. After a two-year program, they graduated from Rhema Bible College with Kenneth starting his first assignment in Atoka, OK. They came back to their hometown and began Lindsay Christian Fellowship. The husband and wife team retired from full-time ministry being called on her various services and prayer. Even in his late 80s and 90s while living at Village On The Park in Oklahoma City, he was one of four retired pastors that formed a club to be available to pray for residence. Kenneth felt a need to serve others.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Katherine, his daughter-in-law, Vicki Bowers McCabe, one brother John McCabe (Doris), two sisters, Velma Martin(Robert), and Tommy Cavin, as well as, in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Kenneth is survived by two older brothers Henry F McCabe(Shanna) and Grant McCabe, both of Tulsa, his in-laws, Connie and Frank Horine, Helen and Bobby Hooper, Sophia Adams, his five children, Linda Pogue Zwirn(Allan), Stanley McCabe(Marie), LeAnn Ward Hanner(Perry), Rhonda Wafford(Gary), and Ronald Mccabe. He has 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He will be buried in Cleveland, Oklahoma next to his wife.

The funeral will be conducted by Chapman- Black funeral home. The ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Dan Edens of Assembly of God and Rev. Stan McCabe. Services will be Friday, February 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Cleveland, OK Assembly of God.
