Keith Hardesty

Keith Hardesty, a dedicated professional in the computer field and an independent Oil and Gas Broker, passed away on May 6, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on August 24, 1950.

Keith's career journey was marked by his employment at Walmart Home Office in Bentonville, J.D. Young Company, Williams Companies in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and eventually as an independent Oil and Gas Broker. His commitment to his work and expertise in the industry left a lasting impact on all those he encountered. Keith was a pretty awesome athlete at Berryhill in both football and baseball.  He went on to play baseball at NSU in Tahlequah and was a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon fraternity.   Also, after we married he bought a small picture framing business and built custom frames for pictures, having sold some of them to the Ben Johnson Cowboy Museum in Pawhuska. He was a loving Papa and found much joy in working with his granddaughter, Gabriella (Gabi) in the business. He also loved spending time with great grand daughter Davina.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Keith will be remembered for his generous spirit. He had a passion for fishing and gardening, often sharing his harvest with those around him. During the challenging times of the Covid pandemic, Keith extended a helping hand by anonymously delivering boxes of food to those in need.  In addition to his career and hobbies, Keith proudly served as part of the Oklahoma National Guard Unit.  On January 23, 2019, Keith was united in marriage to Mary (Askew) Johnson in Cleveland where they have made their home.

Keith is survived by his loving wife Mary of the home, three children Amelia Hardesty, Michelle Hardesty and Ryan Hardesty, one brother Carey Hardesty, one sister Robbie Thames, two grandchildren Gabriella and Chris, one great granddaughter Davina, along with several other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

He is predeceased by his father Bud Hardesty Jr., mother Virginia Hardesty, brother Chris Hardesty, and sister Barbara Boyd.

A Memorial Service to honor Keith's life will be held at Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma on May 17th, 2024, starting at 10:30 AM. This will be followed by a Graveside Service at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa at 2:00 PM on the same day.

Keith Hardesty's legacy of kindness and dedication will forever echo through the lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
