Kathleen Pulley

Kathleen Pulley passed from this life on March 1, 2024, at the age of 78 at her home surrounded by her family.

Kathleen (Kay) was born on November 16, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Richard and Delores B (Mauler) Chaney. Kay was raised and attended school in Tulsa, graduating from Central High School with the Class of 1963. Kay was united in marriage to Billy Wayne Harvel and in 1965 welcomed Kay's son, Rick Harvel. During that time, she worked at H&R Block. Upon the loss of her husband Billy, Kay and Rick moved to Cleveland. On December 12th of 1970, Kay and Rick, were united in marriage to Robert (Roscoe) W. McGuire. Kay and Roscoe purchased land, built a home and a life, growing their family by adding 3 daughters, Kim, Shelley, and Shawna. On July 29, 1998, in Oklahoma City, Kay was united in marriage to Raymond Leon Pulley. Kay worked at several places throughout her life including Shell Oil, NTC Trucking as well as a clerk at the Country Store.

Kay was a full-time flower gardener and loved being outside working in her yard and greenhouse. Kay always made her family giggle with how she described and emphasized her description of things that were beautiful, gorgeous, awesome, and outrageous. Kay always liked being able to get out and drive her truck, listening to the radio, and picking up a fountain Dr. Pepper, while almost always returning home with a new plant, or ten. She had recently taken a trip with her brother-in-law, Sid, to South Dakota to see Mt Rushmore which Kay had always wanted to do. She was very Patriotic and the Fourth of July with fireworks was her favorite holiday. Christmas Eve with over-the-top decorations and preparations for all the kids was something Kay held tight to for 50 plus years. She was strong in body and mind, independent, determined, held her kids to a high standard and her grandkids as her pride and joy.

Survivors are her four children; Rick Harvel and his wife Carla of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Kim Merriman and her husband Shane of Jennings, Oklahoma, Shelley Siler and her husband Jack of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Shawna Beaty and her husband JR of Cleveland, Oklahoma; one sister Rosie Matlock of Olive, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Raina Bevins, Courtney Dickson, Justin Siler, Kaylee Yount, Kaden Merriman, Jenna McGinnis, Jacob Harvel, Thomas Beaty, and Samantha Beaty, and 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.  In addition to Kay's parents, she was preceded in death by her three husbands; Billy Harvel, Roscoe McGuire, Raymond Pulley, sisters; Judy Starr, Pat Hulvey, Bobbie Henderson and a grandson Ricky Harvel, II.
