Katherine Dianne Clewien passed from this life on September 4, 2021, at the age of 68.
Dianne was born on August 13, 1953, in Hominy, Oklahoma the daughter of Clarence Monroe and Wanda Faye (Morgan) Vandever. Dianne grew up and attended school in Cleveland later moving to Tulsa graduating from East Central High School with the Class of 1971. Dianne was then united in marriage to Lester Lieurance, Sr. The couple later moved to Turkey due to him being in the military. They remained there for a couple years before returning stateside. Dianne lived in Massachusetts and Maine for a short time with her sister before returning to Oklahoma in the late 1970's. During that time Dianne met Michael Otto Clewien, Sr and the couple was married on December 19, 1979, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. They established their home in Cleveland where she has continued to reside. Dianne worked at JTPA, St. Johns Medical Center, Cleveland Area Hospital, Hominy Nursing Home as well as a 911 operator in Tulsa.
Planting flowers and working in the garden were a couple of Dianne's joys in life. She spent many hours reading books and couple of her favorite authors were V. C. Andrews and Dean Koontz. Dianne loved visiting and with Facebook becoming popular that made things easier for her to stay abreast with her friends and family. Spending time with her children and grandchildren were always enjoyable times. However, her favorite place to be was with Mike in his truck traveling and seeing the country.
Survivors are her five children Michael Clewien, Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee, Clay Clewien and his wife Leslie of Columbia Falls, Montana, Les Lieurance and his wife Debbie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Brandy Lieurance of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Keisha Wynn and her husband Mark of Hominy, Oklahoma; sisters Carol Dyer of Cushing, Maine, Lola Plute of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Ramona Vandever of Tulsa, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren Sadie, Caleb, Jeremy, Kristian, Jessica, Trenton, Cali, Koltan, Kyndal, Kaedan, Trace, Alyssa, Karsen and six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Dianne was preceded in death by her husband Michael, two sisters Mona Faye Vandever and Karon Sue House.
Services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the First Assembly of God Church in Cleveland with Brother Willis Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery at Cleveland, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
