Kate Sullivan Snyder passed away from this life on August 23, 2024, at the age of 76 in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Kate was born on March 18, 1948, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the daughter of James Burton and Eula Mae (Sullivan) Gregg. Kate grew up in Fort Smith and attended school at the Southside High School graduating with the Class of 1966. Her class was the first graduating class of Southside High School. Following her education Kate attended college at College of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas where she graduated with her teaching certificate. Following graduation Kate taught for seven years in Paris, Arkansas then later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma; teaching at Sam Houston Elementary and Hawthorne Magnet School. Kate retired from Tulsa Public Schools in 2001. Following retirement Kate still continued teaching as a substitute for several more years.

Kate enjoyed being outdoors and loved riding horses. Kate had a wonderful voice and was a part of the College of the Ozarks Choir and traveled throughout the area performing. She also enjoyed bowling and bowled with a league for many years. Kate was a avid Razorback and Oklahoma State fan cheering for them every time they played.

Survivors are her daughter Christina Glenn and her husband Elijeh of Cleveland, Oklahoma; one brother James Burton Gregg, Jr and his wife Judy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two grandchildren Madison Lynn Glenn and Candice Faith Glenn and several other relatives and friends. Kate was preceded in death by her James and Eula Mae Gregg.

A visitation and a gathering will be held on the 29th of August from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm, Thursday at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
