Karen Lee Price, of Tuttle, Oklahoma formerly of Yale, Oklahoma was born December 14, 1953 in Stockton, California to the parents of Dorothy Lee (Anderson) and Bill B. Herring. Karen was raised and received her education in the Yale area. She attended school in North Fork until the 9th grade. She transferred to Yale where she continued her education. Karen continued to reside in Yale until October of 1994. She was united in marriage to Jerry Don Price in Stillwater, Oklahoma on October 31, 1991. In 1994 Karen and Jerry Don moved to Tuttle, Oklahoma where she has lived since.
Karen was active in the American Legion Auxiliary in Yale for many years. She also loved to go to garage sales and be with her family and grandchildren.
Karen passed away Tuesday June 17, 2003 in Oklahoma City at the age of 49 years 6 months and 3 days. She was preceded in death by her father, one brother Mike Herring, two daughters Shelly and Janie.
Survived by her husband, Jerry Don Price, of the home; children, Allen and Alicia Rich of Yale, Oklahoma; Cari and Marty Cope of Chandler, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, sister, Kathy Tinnie and husband Leroy of Cushing, Oklahoma; brother, David Herring of Yale, Oklahoma; brother, Phillip Ingram and wife Dot of Clinton, Missouri; sister, Sandy Troxtell and husband Tim of Colorado City, Colorado; mother, Dorothy Spyres, of Stillwater, Oklahoma as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and burial will be held Saturday June 21, 2003 at 2:00 pm at Lawson Cemetery with Pastor John Curtis officiating. Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc. of Cleveland, Oklahoma is in charge of the arrangements.
