Karen Irene Oyler, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the age of 58 years. Karen was born April 26, 1951 in Corvallis, Oregon the daughter of Delvin Keith and Eileen Dora Marie (Bohlmeyer) Jakabosky. As a young girl Karen resided with her family in Oregon, Nebraska, Arkansas and California as she was growing up. In the mid 1960Ãs Karen moved to the Cleveland, Oklahoma area. During that time she was reintroduced the love of her life Gary Don Oyler. The couple was later united in marriage on June 10, 1972 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. After the couples marriage they established their initial home in Oklahoma City. Karen and Gary later moved to their current home in Tulsa, Oklahoma where they currently reside. Karen enjoyed sewing, going to garage sales as well as having garage sales. She also enjoyed going around junk finding. Karen also enjoyed going with her family to the lake and camping out during the time her daughter was growing up. Her favorite place to be was at her home where she was content making a home for her family. Karen is described as generous, loving, kind and always willing to give everyone a hug. Survivors are her husband Gary Oyler of the home; one daughter Sarah Faye Schif of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers David Mills of Hominy, Oklahoma, Warren Mills of Cleveland, Oklahoma; five sisters Jackie Finely of Neosho, Missouri, Lorene Finley of Neosho, Missouri, Maxine Reibert of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Debbie Apodaca of Noel, Missouri, Christine Ryan of El Reno, Oklahoma; one granddaughter Schyler Faye Schif and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by step father David Lawrence Mills, one brother Larry Mills and an infant son. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Bethany Cemetery with Brother John Nichol officiating. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses at 554 South Memorial Drive in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Burial will be in the Bethany Cemetery in Hallett, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
