Juanda Faye Burgess, 78, passed from this life August 23, 2018, at Cleveland Hospital in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Juanda was born June 26, 1940, in Terlton, Oklahoma to Isaac and Mary Christine Burgess. She attended McElroy School till 7th grade, then Terlton High School until graduation. On December 1, 1956, she united in marriage with Kenneth Brown where they resided at the farmhouse south of Terlton. Juanda lived in Terlton until she moved to Hallet in early 1991. Juanda then moved to Cushing, followed by Cleveland, till she then moved in 2007 to the Baptist Village.
Juanda loved to crochet, go dancing, traveling short weekend trips, and classic car shows. Juanda was a fan of Chinese food, fried chicken, divinity baking and making candy during the holidays. She was a member of the church of Christ.
Juanda is preceded in death by her parents, as well as two brothers, Jimmy Burgess and John Hover. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Adams; son, Kenneth James Brown, Jr.; brothers, Wayne Burgess and Raymond Burgess; sisters, Nancy Crossland and Connie King; and grandson Branden Brown.
Her cremation is entrusted to the care of Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
