Joyce Marie Teter passed from this life on July 3, 2021, at her home in Cleveland, OK at the age of 78.
Joyce was born on February 10, 1943, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joyce was the daughter of Eucellos and Lillie Marie (Hilton) Martin. Joyce grew up in Jenks, where she attended school, graduating with the Class of 1961. Following her education, Joyce was united in marriage to Buddy Ray Teter on May 25, 1962, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Joyce and Bud established their initial home in Jenks, later moving to Cleveland in 1967. Joyce began working at the Osteopathic Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In the early 1970s, she began working at First National Bank in Cleveland. She later retired as a bank officer after 37 years. Following retirement, Joyce started working at Palace Drug.
Joyce's family was a very big part of her life. She would save yearly for family trips to Branson during Christmas. Memorial Day get-togethers with all the family, the Pawnee Cattle Drive, and Cavalcade Rodeos were always memorable events. Camping in one of their many camping trailers was always enjoyable times. Joyce always loved going to watch her grandkid's sporting events and livestock shows, never missing the opportunity to see them in action. However, Joyce's life always revolved around Bud and her family. She helped him for many years with his auctions doing whatever was needed. Joyce taught children's Sunday school and loved teaching and showing others how to lead a life that honored the Lord. Joyce is described as giving, selfless, hardworking, and always wanting to help others.
