Joshua Eric Spess

Josh was born June 14, 1980 in Tulsa, Oklahoma he is the son Mark Eric and Pamela Marie (Malicoate) Spess. After the birth of Josh he returned home with his parents to Pawnee, Oklahoma. During his time as a toddler Josh remained in Pawnee where he began his education. Josh then started his 7th grade year in Cleveland where he later graduated with the Class of 1999. During his time in school Josh was active in baseball and the local Future Farmers of America. Josh showed livestock at many local and regional events. After graduation Josh followed in the footsteps of his father working for Spess Companies where he was currently employed. Josh ìSnakeî had a unique personality by always lighting up a room when he entered. He was a self taught guitarist and would spend countless hours with his friends and family just picking out a tune and singing till the early hours of the morning. Snake would also at the spur of the moment make parodies about any situation. He would always take time to visit the cabin in Colorado. He felt this gave him the opportunity to recharge and spend the quality time with his family. Josh could often be found riding motorcycles, horses or feeding cattle with his hideous Panama Jack hat. Snake loved spending time fishing and hunting. He always cherished the hours he spent hunting and fishing with his son Trenton just like his dad did with him. Joshua ìSnakeî Eric Spess passed away from injuries received in a automobile accident on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the age of 29 years. Survivors are his father Mark Spess of Cleveland, Oklahoma, mother Pam Spess of Cleveland, Oklahoma, one son Trenton Spess of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; three sisters Erica Horine of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Rachel Spess of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Mallory Spess of Cleveland, Oklahoma, paternal grandparents Frank and Rozella Spess of Mannford, Oklahoma; paternal great grandmother Ann Lee Spess of Mannford, Oklahoma; one niece Hallie Horine; one nephew Barrett Henton as well as a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing. Josh was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Darrell and Ladeane Malicoate. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, January 21, 2010 in the sanctuary of the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dan Edens being assisted by Joey Higgins. Following the services the body will be cremated under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made in honor of Josh; for the benefit of Trenton at any branch of the American Heritage Bank.
