Joseph Willard Wilcoxson, of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009 in the Cleveland Manor Nursing Home at the age 71. Joseph was born April 16, 1937 in Cleveland, Oklahoma the son James and Clara ((Rainbolt)) Wilcoxson. Joseph was raised and received his education in Cleveland. He graduated from Cleveland High School with the Class of 1955. On December 18, 1958, Joseph entered into the service of his country in the United State Navy. He served aboard the USS Midway and was later honorably discharged on January 15, 1962. On December 2, 1960, Mr. Wilcoxson was united in marriage to Clara Rainbolt in Modesto, California and the couple continued to reside in California. Mr. Wilcoxson later gained employment with the federal government and retired from Rough and Ready Island in California. In the mid 1980Ãs, Joseph returned to Cleveland, Oklahoma where he has continued to reside. Survivors include his Anita L. and her husband David Kauffman, JR. of Whitefish, Montana, three brothers, James Wilcoxson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sisters, Alvera Davidson of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Louise Mills of Anadarko, Oklahoma, June Porter of Mannford, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Justin D. Kauffman, Travis Y. Kauffman, Darren M. Kauffman, Ashley L. Kauffman as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends that mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death on son, Randy Wilcoxson, two brothers, Morris Wilcoxson and Bill Wilcoxson as well as one sister Netta Williams.
