Graveside services for JoAnne Miller will be held Friday, June 11, 2004 at 2:00 pm at the Blackburn Cemetery with Rev. Frank Goodman officiating under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
JoAnne was born June 27, 1952 in Modesto, California to James and Nelpha LaVonne (Rowden) Siler. JoAnne was raised and received her education in the Bay area of California. Her senior year the family moved to Ritchey, Missouri and she later graduated from East Newton High School in 1969. Shortly after high school JoAnne accepted employment with the hospital in Stella, Missouri. JoAnne remained working at the hospital as a nurseÃs aide for several years. In 1971 JoAnne moved to Cleveland and continued to work in the health care industry. JoAnne was a health care provider to many elderly people in the Cleveland area. JoAnne was united in marriage to Ronald Miller in Cleveland, Oklahoma on December 26, 1979. They made their initial home in Barnsdall until the late 1980Ãs. Ronnie and JoAnne then moved to their present home in Blackburn.
JoAnne loved riding horses, dancing, water skiing, tending to her grandchildren as well as being with her family. She also worked as a volunteer in Pawnee, reading to the children and helping out at the Cleveland Workshop. She was a member of the Community Church, south of Cleveland.
JoAnne passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2004 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of fifty-one years, eleven months and twelve days. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Miller, of the home; three children, Jeremiah Hoggatt of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Jedidah and wife Jennifer Hoggatt of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Jessica Miller of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two step children, Mike Miller of Alaska and Barry Miller of Georgia; four brothers, Jim Siler of Granby, Missouri; Jack Siler of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Jeff Siler of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Marvin Olsen of Colorado; three grandchildren Sydney Hoggatt, Gage Hoggatt and Trysten Miles-Hoggatt as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
