Jimmie Donald Long

Jimmie Donald Long passed away from this life on July 29th, 2021, at the age of 56.

Jimmie was born on April 14th, 1965, in Austin, Texas. He is the son of James Franklin Long and Donna Spencer. Jimmie grew up in Terlton where he attended school until the 8th grade, he then attended Cleveland High School where he graduated with the class of 1983. During high school, Jimmie went to Drumright Vo-Tech learning the trade of offset printing. After high school, Jimmie began working for Charlie Dell at D and D Lease Service. On July 22nd, 1989, Jimmie was united in marriage to Crystal Dawn Waller in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Jimmie then began working at Murry Womble and had two children, Taylor Joseph Long, and Cammi Chevelle Long. Jimmie then gained employment with Cleveland Public Schools at the bus barn as a mechanic for over 15 years. Jimmie then started working at Hot Rod Garage alongside his friend Jason Smith. Jimmie had recently been working for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

Jimmie always wanted to be outdoors. You could always find him in the garage working on big blocks and teaching his kids how to tear down an engine. He spent many hours rock crawling in Disney, Oklahoma, riding four-wheelers in the Little Sahara State Park, and many late nights racing at the Tulsa Raceway Park. Jimmie spent many sunny days riding his motorcycle, it was his favorite way to relax. He enjoyed helping his buddies work on their cars. He was the go-to guy to call. It was not uncommon for Jimmie to be on the phone helping his friends solve problems with their builds. In turn, Jimmie was not above relying on his friends for help with builds as the technology advanced.

Survivors are his two children T.J. Long of Hominy, Oklahoma, Cammi Long of Hominy, Oklahoma, Mother Donna Stephenson of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Brother Dennis Long of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Sister Diana Pofahl of Muskogee, Oklahoma as well as a host of other family and friends. Jimmie was preceded in death by his Father James Long.
