Jessie Talley

Jessie D. Talley passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Cimarron Pointe Care Center in Mannford, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years eleven months and fifteen days. Jessie was born August 8, 1930 in Wewoka, Oklahoma; he was the son of Zimmer and Grace (Rule) Talley. Jessie attended school and received his education in Wewoka. At the conclusion of his education Jessie began working and later moved to the Tulsa area. In 1963, Jessie was united in marriage to Betty (Rule) in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Shortly after their marriage the couple moved to Tennessee and later returned to Oklahoma and have continued to reside in the Cleveland for the past nine years. Jessie enjoyed being outdoors as well as spending his spare time fishing. Jessie and Betty have been members of Oak Hill Church on Keystone Lake for many years. Survivors are his loving wife Betty of the home; one son William Talley; step daughter Ruby Bennett, sister Eva Lee Riley; grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing. Jessie was preceded in death by his parents. Chapel services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Burial will be held in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
