Jennifer Ann Fields-Lehnus passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 50. Jennifer was born September 22, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Wilson B. and Ethel F. (Coleman) Fields.' As Jennifer was growing up she attended several different schools due to the fact that her father was in the military.' In 1976, she graduated from Hinckley High School in Aurora, Colorado.' After high school Jennifer furthered her education at Denver University.' At the completion of her education Jennifer accepted employment with Answer Plus in Colorado Springs.' On September 4, 1982 at Peyton, Colorado, Jennifer was united in marriage to Ronald F. Lehnus.' The couple continued to reside in Colorado until they moved to Cleveland in 1991.' In the mid 1990Ãs Jennifer began working at Wal-Mart in Cleveland.' During the time that Jennifer worked at Wal-Mart she was the Customer Service Manager. Jennifer was an active part of her childrenÃs life as they grew up.' She was their soccer coach for many years taking the team they played on from never winning to the champions of their league and undefeated.' That is a great accomplishment since she knew nothing about the sport and was self taught through books and numerous other resources.' Jennifer also enjoyed arts and crafts as well as reading books.' Holidays were very important times at her home.' She would always decorate her home for the appropriate holiday especially during Christmas and Halloween.' Jennifer and Ron always made the Fourth of July a great time with the block party at their home that would last long into the evening with a major firework display for everyone to enjoy.' However, Jennifer cherished the most in life the time spent with her husband, children, father, siblings and granddaughter the most. Survivors include her husband Ronald Lehnus of the home, two sons Joshua Lehnus and his wife Michele of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Zach Lehnus and his wife Michelle of Cleveland, Oklahoma, father Ben Fields of Cleveland, Oklahoma, four siblings Vicky Russell and her husband Joe of Aurora, Colorado, Billy Fields and his wife Karen of Thonton, Colorado, Darrell Fields and his wife Theresa of Peyton, Colorado, Wilson Fields and his wife Shelia of Cleveland, Oklahoma, one granddaughter Mackenzie Lehnus..' She was preceded in death by her mother Rusty on November 13, 2008. A public gathering will be held Friday, January 16, 2009 from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm at the Cleveland Community Center in remembrance of Jennifer Fields-Lehnus.' Private entombment will be held in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home
