Jean Brien, of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed away at her home on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the age of 87 years, eight months and twenty one days. Jean was born August 11, 1926, in Fullerton, California, She was the daughter of Leo Wilford and Aagot Yohansen (Broen) Kramer. As a young girl Jean grew up in San Diego. Jean also attended school in Los Angeles and in the Huntington Park Area. In 1957, Jean moved to West Covina and worked at a finance company before moving to Downey, California in 1970. While residing in Downey Jean worked at the accountant for Gloria Marshal Salon. In 1980, Jean moved to Anchorage, Alaska and gained employment with Big 3 Oil Company. In 1986, Jean moved to Minot, North Dakota before moving to Cleveland in 1989. Jean loved to do arts and crafts. She spent many hours painting, drawing and sketching as well as working on cross stitching and needle work. Jean loved reading murder mysteries. She always had a beautiful flower garden and grew gladiolas that everyone would envy. Jean also is described as the best fudge maker around. Jean loved to go traveling and really enjoyed the trips to Florida, Mt. Rushmore, San Antonio and Alaska. Jean was very honest and would always voice her opinion. She was a strong and independent woman who never needed to rely on others. Survivors are her three children Christine Meyer of San Antonio, Texas, Anita Hyatt of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Karen Storm and her husband Dana of Crooks, South Dakota; one sister Elaine Thomas of Tampa Bay, Florida; five grandchildren Candy Harlow and her husband Mathew Anderson of West Salem, Wisconsin, Wendy Hyatt of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jennifer Hoggatt and her husband Jed of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Brent Rall of Crooks, South Dakota, Curtis Hyatt and his wife Autumn of Cleveland, Oklahoma, six great grandchildren Sydney, Gage, Marshall, Mac, Madison, Megan and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Aagot Kramer as well as one sister Ruth Shoemaker.
