Jayne Elizabeth Aultman Tripp, resident of Reidsville, Georgia, passed away, Friday, February 27, 2004 as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Jayne was born September 10, 1947 in Tifton, Georgia to the late Frank and Vinitta (Perrin) Aultman.
Jayne married her sole mate, Dr. Harold Warren Tripp on August 30, 1968. The couple made their permanent home in Reidsville, Georgia. Jayne was a thirteen year member of the Reidsville Altamaha Hobby Show Steering Committee, and was instrumental in establishing it as a premier event in the Reidsville area. She was also active in various community projects and several blood drives during the past twenty-seven years in Reidsville.
She was known to her family as a wonderful, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved her family tremendously and was actively involved in their lives, assisting them in any manner she could. She especially loved spending time with her three grandchildren, Colyn, Jessalyn and Fallyn. Jayne was an excellent seamstress and was forever using her creative talents in the many crafts she made. She spent countless hours of her life caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and her late mother. Her love for them never failed and was always evident in her desire to assist them in their daily lives. She loved to travel with her husband throughout the United States in their motor home. They enjoyed many cruises and traveled overseas to Europe. Another favorite pastime of JayneÃs was to visit cemeteries during her travels and to research old monuments in an effort to understand the lives of those people from their epitaphs.
Jayne was raised in the Primitive Baptist faith and professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. The love she exhibited for her family, friends and any person she met was indicative of her love for Christ. Her generosity has been valued by all who knew and needed her. Her wit and humor was loved by anyone who was fortunate enough to spend any significant time with her. She was an inspiration to all.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Harold Tripp; her daughter Dayna, and son-in-law Perry Johnson of Alma, Georgia; son, Scott Tripp of Level Plains, Alabama; three grandchildren, Colyn, Jessalyn and Fallyn Johnson, all of Alma, Georgia; four brothers, William (Billy) Aultman of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Roger Aultman of Tifton, Georgia, Terry Aultman of Jacksonville, Florida and Stanley Aultman of Tifton, Georgia; seven sisters, Linda Childers of Ocilla, Georgia, Carolyn Holsenbeck of Tifton, Georgia, Marsha Cooper of Tifton, Georgia, Deborah Culpepper of Sylvester, Georgia, Tamza Black of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Wanda Smith of Tifton, Georgia, and Norma Aultman of Tifton, Georgia; father-in-law, Warren Tripp of Omega, Georgia and sister-in-law, Patricia Whittington of Norman Park, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
