Janice Kay Cronister, 63, of Osage, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, January 30, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the St. John Medical Center. Janice was born on November 30, 1947 in Moberly Missouri. She was the daughter of Virgil Leon and Mary Helen (Robb) Colley. Janice attended schools in Moberly and in 1961 moved to Oklahoma where she completed her education. While Janice was residing in Crescent, Oklahoma she met the love of her life David Cronister in 1968. The couple was later united in marriage on July 19, 1971. The couple remained in Crescent until they moved to Osage, Oklahoma. Janice and David have continued to reside in Osage since 1973, where they have raised their children. Janice was baptized as a young girl. Following her procession of faith Janice has continued following her Lord and Saviour as well as instilling her beliefs into her family and friends. Janice has always put the needs of others before her own. She was faithful to her church that she loved dearly and always looked forward to having her family near. Janice and David enjoyed taking trips on their motorcycle with their friends. However, Janice was always in close contact with her sister Pat that she loved dearly. Janice will be missed and was a lady that loved her family immensely. Survivors are her husband David of the home; son Kenneth M and Karen Cronister of Osage, Oklahoma; daughter Angela Kendall of Osage, Oklahoma; sister Pat Cross and her husband Gordon of Osage, Oklahoma: step brother Michael Colley of Columbia, Missouri, three grandchildren Michael Cronister, James Kendall, Kayla Cronister, one great granddaughter Zoey Davis and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. In addition to her parents Janice was preceded in death by her stepmother Dorothy Colley and a sister Debra Lynn Colley. Chapel services will be held 2:00 Pm Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Scott and Delbert Cronister officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery in Osage, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc. of Cleveland, Oklahoma.
