Janet Elaine Wharton

Janet Elaine Wharton "MEME" passed from this life on May 5th 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 63.

December 13, 1957 in Pawnee, Oklahoma Loyd & Frances Hooper were blessed with a baby girl. Little did they know, she would grow up to touch so many lives.

She was raised and received her education in Cleveland, Oklahoma, graduating with the Class of 1976. On Sept 11, 1977 she married the love of her life, Francis "Wayne" Wharton. This union resulted in the birth of 2 children.

Janet will forever be memorialized for her kind heart, willingness to help and outgoing personality. She accepted everyone as her own and was lovingly referred to by many as "momma" or "meme". Along with finding joy in everyday life, she cherished her family and enjoyed getting "wind therapy " while riding the motorcycle with Wayne. She was filled with pride and was always ready to brag about her children and grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was taking vacations on a cruise ship. Momma could often be found "donating money" at the casino.

Janet is survived by her loving husband Wayne of 43 years and great niece Madison Hooper of the home. Her son Stephen Wharton of Cleveland and girlfriend Jennifer Daubney; Daughter Jennifer Owen and husband Dirk of Athens, GA.; stepdaughter Kristine and husband Jon David Spiller of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; brothers Tommy Hooper and Gary Hooper and his wife Cheryl of Cleveland along with many grand children, family and friends.

Janet was greeted at Heaven's gate by her parents Loyd and Frances Hooper; her brothers Paul and Jim Hooper; sister Frances "June" Thomas; a Grandchild Kimberly Dawn Owen, sister- in- law Janel Hooper in addition to many more loved ones and friends.

A life well lived, all of her love given, forever missed by all. Until we meet again.

Internment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Cleveland, Oklahoma.
